Privacy policy

PriceScout: App Deal Alerts helps you follow iOS app prices. We keep the data involved simple: your wishlist is stored on your device, and an Apple Push Notification service (APNs) token is used to deliver push notifications.

No account, ads, or tracking

You do not need an account to use PriceScout. The app has no ads and no third-party trackers.

Your wishlist

Your wishlist is stored locally on your device. You can remove apps from it in PriceScout. Removing the app removes its local app data from that device.

Push notifications

If you allow notifications, Apple provides an APNs push token for your app installation. This token is used to route alerts to your device; it is not your name or email address. Apple’s push notification service is involved in delivering those alerts.

You can turn notifications off at any time in your iPhone’s Settings, under Notifications > PriceScout.

Deal feeds

PriceScout fetches its app and deal feeds from our static JSON host. These requests let the app display deal and price information. Like other web requests, they send connection information, such as your IP address, to the host to deliver the feed.
